The HC-06 Bluetooth Module Breakout is a reliable and efficient solution for adding Bluetooth connectivity to your electronic projects. This wireless transceiver RF module works seamlessly with Arduino and other microcontrollers. Designed for serial communication, it operates at an input voltage of 3.6V to 6V and is not suitable for iOS systems. The module includes interfaces for VCC, GND, TXD, RXD, and a high-trigger KEY pin for clearing pairing information. It features LED indicators for Bluetooth connection status, flashing when unpaired and slowly flashing when paired but not connected as a slave.
With an open effective distance of up to 10 meters, it supports a full-duplex serial communication format with 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and no parity. The interface level is 3.3V, allowing direct connection to various microcontrollers, including 51, AVR, PIC, ARM, and MSP430, as well as 5V MCUs without needing a MAX232. The module operates at an unpaired current of about 30mA and a paired current of 10mA. It supports baud rates of 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, 230400, and 460800, and allows setting the baud rate and passkey through AT commands.
