The MCP23017 / MCP23S17 I/O Expander Module is a 16-bit GPIO expansion board that communicates with microcontrollers via I2C (MCP23017) or SPI (MCP23S17). It allows easy GPIO expansion for Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, and other microcontrollers.
With configurable interrupt handling, polarity inversion, and low power consumption, it is ideal for industrial automation, sensor integration, and embedded systems. The module also allows up to 8 devices to share the same I2C/SPI bus using hardware address pins.
