The EMG Sensor / Muscle Sensor Module v3 Kit by Advancer Technologies is designed to measure, filter, rectify, and amplify the electrical activity from muscles. The sensor provides an analog output signal that can easily be processed by a microcontroller for developing muscle-controlled interfaces. With a low power requirement (min. +-3.5V) and improved adjustable gain, this module allows for precise muscle activity measurements. Ideal for applications in bioengineering, robotics, and health monitoring, this kit comes with electrodes and cables for easy setup.
1. How do I use the EMG sensor?
To use the sensor, place three electrodes on the body: one reference electrode on an inactive body section (e.g., elbow, shin, or forearm), one electrode on the mid-length of the muscle, and the last electrode at the muscle's end. Connect each electrode to the appropriate cable, and plug SIG into the analog input of your microcontroller.
2. What is the required power supply for this sensor?
The sensor requires a minimum voltage of +-3.5V for operation.
3. Can this sensor be used with any microcontroller?
Yes, the EMG sensor provides an analog output that can be connected to any microcontroller with an analog input.
4. What is the diameter of the electrode pads?
The electrode pads are 52mm in diameter, providing good contact area for accurate readings.
5. How long is the cable provided with the sensor?
The cable length is 2 feet, providing ample reach for use with various body placements.
