The Adafruit 16-Channel 12-bit PWM/Servo Shield is an I2C-based expansion board that allows you to control up to 16 servos or LEDs with precise PWM output, using only two I2C pins. Unlike traditional PWM drivers, this shield has a built-in clock, making it a free-running controller that doesn’t require continuous microcontroller signal input.

It supports 5V output control, making it perfect for high-voltage LEDs and servos. The stackable design includes a prototyping area, onboard protections, and easy connectivity for seamless integration with Arduino.
